When mixed with water a Maxipack will produce approximately 0.015m3 sufficient to lay approximately 24 standard bricks: 1.5m2 @ 10mm thick 0.6m2 @ 25mm thick 0.3m2 @ 50mm thick 0.2m2 @ 75mm thick • Allow approximately 1 kg of Sand and Cement Mortar per brick for brick laying When a smooth plasterers finish is required a square cornered steel float should be used and allowed to ‘float’ over the wet area using minimum pressure.
To help prevent the mixed mortar drying out too quickly, dampen bricks, blocks and base before proceeding. Brush any loose debris from the base before laying bricks or blocks. Similarly the wall should be brushed to remove any loose material before patching/ rendering.
