Our slate effect walling, Mendip, is a reconstituted stone product, handcrafted by skilled workman. The Mendip slate effect walling has a random moulded effect, taking its’ inspiration from the slate walls found in the Mendip hills. By mixing the two different sizes and the couple of different mould castings you can create an authentic looking slate wall.
Available as a full block and a half block, in two colours the traditional Grey/Green and the recently introduced Bath/Brown to compliment the bath/brown Wyverdale paving. We recommend the use of the 150mm wide Mendip coping to complete the job.
Full block 440mm Length, 120mm Height and 100mm Width
Half block 220mm Length, 120mm Height and 100mm Width
Retaining wall– If you have a sloped lawn, why not level the lawn and create a two level terraced garden. Use the slate effect walling Mendip to face the retained wall. Cap with the Mendip coping. Use circle or octagon segments to create a step, continuing the use of the walling blocks between the steps.
Coping– A garden wall is seldom complete without a coping. An alternative to the slate effect coping is the Worn Oxford paving in 450 x 300mm, in charcoal. Or if this is too wide you can use the Cotswold coping 450 x 150mm in light grey.
